ERP integration that connects your entire business

Your ERP system is the backbone of your operations. It manages manufacturing, inventory, purchasing, sales and planning. But for most businesses, the ERP does not work alone. You also rely on accounting software, e-commerce platforms, CRM tools, design applications and a host of other systems that all need to share data.

When these systems are not properly connected, the result is duplicated data entry, inconsistent information, delayed processing and a fragmented view of your business. Your team ends up spending time on administrative tasks that should be automated and decisions are made based on incomplete or outdated information.

Solweb specialises in ERP integration. We connect your ERP platform with the rest of your business systems so that data flows seamlessly between manufacturing, sales, finance and customer facing applications. The result is a single source of truth, less manual work and a business that runs more efficiently.

Deep experience with leading ERP platforms

We have been integrating ERP systems for over two decades, and our experience spans the platforms most widely used by UK manufacturers, distributors and engineering businesses. Our integration work is not theoretical, it is grounded in years of hands on development and long standing partnerships with ERP providers.

123Insight

Solweb has been an authorised 123Insight Partner since 2003. For more than 20 years, we have built an unrivalled depth of experience with the 123Insight MRP/ERP platform. We have developed and maintain two key products that integrate directly with 123insight: Accounts Gateway®, which provides real-time integration with accounting systems including Sage, Xero, Access Dimensions and WebPortal, which gives 123Insight users a fully integrated e-commerce platform.

123Insight themselves reference Solweb’s Accounts Gateway® as their recommended solution for accounting integration and our WebPortal product is featured on their partner pages. This level of endorsement reflects the quality and reliability of our integrations.

Beyond our standard products, we have built numerous custom integrations for 123Insight users, including automated BOM transfers from Solidworks and Omnify, custom EDI solutions for order processing and despatch and bespoke reporting tools that pull data from 123Insight alongside other business systems.

Access Dimensions

We have extensive experience integrating Access Dimensions with ERP systems, e-commerce platforms and custom applications. Our Accounts Gateway® product supports Access Dimensions natively, providing real time synchronisation of customer and supplier records, invoices, payments, credit limits and account status information between Access Dimensions and your manufacturing or business management system.

We have also built website integrations that connect directly with Access Dimensions, allowing orders placed online to be automatically created in the accounting system with no manual intervention required.

Other ERP & MRP platforms

While 123Insight and Access Dimensions represent a significant proportion of our ERP integration work, our capabilities are not limited to these platforms. We have built integrations with a wide range of manufacturing, planning and business management systems. If your ERP has a database we can connect to or an API we can work with, we can integrate it with your wider business systems.

What we connect your ERP to

ERP integration is rarely a single connection. Most businesses need their ERP to communicate with multiple systems across the organisation. Common integrations we deliver include:

Accounting software

real-time synchronisation between your ERP and Sage 50, Sage 200, Xero, or Access Dimensions. Customer accounts, invoices, payments, credit limits, and supplier records are kept consistent across both systems automatically. Powered by our Accounts Gateway® product.

E-commerce platforms

orders placed on your website are automatically created in your ERP system. Product information, pricing, stock levels and customer account data flow between your online store and your back office systems in real time. Powered by our WebPortal product or custom integrations.

Design and engineering tools

BOM data from Solidworks, Omnify, or other CAD/design platforms transferred directly into your ERP, ensuring production always works from the latest revision.

CRM systems

customer data, order history  and account information synchronised between your ERP and CRM tools like Microsoft Dynamics, giving your sales team a complete view of each customer relationship.

Trading partner systems

EDI connections that exchange orders, forecasts, despatch notifications and invoices between your ERP and your customers’ or suppliers’ systems automatically.

Custom applications

bespoke tools for quoting, quality control, production tracking, returns management, or any other process that needs to read from or write to your ERP data.

Reporting and business intelligence

custom dashboards and reports that combine data from your ERP with information from other sources, giving management a comprehensive view of business performance.

The benefits of ERP integration

A single source of truth

When your ERP is properly integrated with your other systems, everyone in the business is working from the same data. There are no discrepancies between what your sales team sees, what your production floor is working from and what your accounts department is invoicing. This consistency eliminates confusion, reduces errors and improves confidence in your data.

Eliminate duplicate data entry

Without integration, the same information often has to be entered into multiple systems. A new customer added in your ERP needs to be created again in your accounting software. An order received via your website needs to be manually re-keyed into your manufacturing system. Integration removes this duplication entirely. Data is entered once and flows automatically to every system that needs it.

Faster processing and response times

Automated data flow means orders are processed faster, invoices are generated sooner, and your customers receive accurate, timely information. When a customer places an order on your website and it appears in your ERP within seconds, your production team can start work immediately. That speed translates into better customer service and a more competitive business.

Better visibility and reporting

Integrated systems make it possible to build reports and dashboards that draw on data from across your entire operation. Instead of exporting spreadsheets from three different systems and trying to reconcile them, you can see a unified view of sales, production, finance and customer activity in one place.

Reduced costs

The labour cost of manual data handling is often underestimated. When you factor in the time spent re-keying data, checking for errors, reconciling discrepancies between systems and managing the consequences of mistakes, the cost is significant. ERP integration reduces these costs substantially and the return on investment is typically realised within months.

How we deliver ERP integration

Our approach to ERP integration begins with understanding your current setup and your objectives. We assess which systems need to communicate, what data needs to flow between them and how frequently that data needs to be synchronised. We then recommend the most effective integration approach for your situation.

In many cases, our existing products provide the foundation. Accounts Gateway® handles the accounting integration, The Data Bridge® manages automated data transfer and WebPortal delivers the e-commerce connection. These products have been proven across hundreds of installations and can be configured for your specific requirements, significantly reducing development time and risk.

Where your requirements go beyond what our standard products cover, we build custom integrations using the same proven technologies. Because we have deep familiarity with the ERP platforms our clients use, we can work directly with their databases and APIs to create reliable, performant connections.

Every integration is thoroughly tested in an environment that mirrors your live setup before deployment and we provide ongoing monitoring and support to ensure everything continues to run smoothly.

Which ERP systems do you integrate with?

We have the deepest experience with 123Insight (as an Authorised Partner since 2003) and Access Dimensions, but our integration capabilities extend to any ERP or MRP system that provides database access or an API. We have also worked with SAP, Microsoft Dynamics and numerous industry specific platforms. If you are unsure whether we can work with your system, get in touch and we will let you know.

Will we need to replace our existing systems?

No. The whole point of ERP integration is to make your existing systems work better together, not to replace them. We connect what you already have, filling the gaps and automating the manual processes that currently bridge them. Your team continues to work in the applications they know, but the data flows between them automatically.

How long does an ERP integration project take?

Timelines vary depending on the complexity of the integration. A straightforward connection using Accounts Gateway® or The Data Bridge® can be configured and tested in a matter of weeks. More complex multi system integrations may take several months. We provide a clear timeline and transparent pricing during the proposal stage.

Which ERP systems do you integrate with?

We design our integrations to be resilient to updates and upgrades. As an Authorised 123Insight Partner, we are kept informed of upcoming changes and can ensure our integrations remain compatible. For other platforms, we work closely with you during any upgrade process to test and update the integration as needed.

Can you integrate our ERP with our website?

Yes. This is one of our core capabilities. Our WebPortal product provides a ready made, e-commerce platform that integrates directly with 123Insight, Access Dimensions and Sage. For other platforms or more bespoke requirements, we build custom website integrations that connect your online presence with your ERP for real-time data exchange.

Do you provide ongoing support for ERP integrations?

Absolutely. All of our ERP integrations come with the option of ongoing support and proactive monitoring. Our systems automatically alert us to any issues with data transfers or connectivity and we often resolve problems before you are even aware of them. As your business grows and your requirements change, we are here to adapt and extend your integration.
